The fragrance category is no longer polarised between ₹300 deodorants and ₹8,000 imported perfumes. The middle is being built right now and the brands that get there first can own it. Consumers are consistently trading up. Those spending ₹500 are moving toward ₹1,000. Those at ₹1,500 are moving toward ₹2,000-3,000. A healthier price point sits above ₹2,000, that's where a brand generates enough margin to sustain the cost of acquiring new customers through performance marketing and influencer seeding.
